We have for sale a Beautiful Georgian 2ct Garnet Intaglio & Rose Cut Diamond Cluster Ring Circa 1800s. The ring consists of a round garnet that measures 8mm and weighs approximately 2ct. The garnet has an intaglio carving of a butterfly on it and the attention to detail in the carving is very good. The garnet is also a lovely rich red colour.
Surrounding this centre garnet is a silver band that has been set with rose cut diamonds that weigh in total approximately 1ct. The dimensions of the head of the ring are 13mm by 13mm. The underside of the head of the ring is gold backed with gold that tests as 15ct yellow gold as does the shank on the ring. The shank on the ring is currently sized a British S½ / USA 9½ but could be resized up or down by us free of charge.
The ring is in very good condition with no visible damage and looks lovely when worn.
