Fabulous Antique 18ct Yellow Gold Navette Ring set with Natural Emeralds and Rose Cut Diamonds. Emerald: the birthstone of May.
Diamond - the birthstone of April. The emeralds have the minor surface imperfections that one would expect of the natural unfilled and untreated emeralds of. Era, they are a lovely colour and present well enough. The diamonds are amazing, not your clear perfectly cut diamonds, but irregular rose cuts which are full of life and glisten, glimmer and shine with every movement.
I had this to my jeweller to be polished and checked over and the specialist they sent it to said the diamonds are grey foil backed. I can't particularly detect the foil on the reverse myself, apart from on. Larger 20 pointer or so central diamond, but it would explain the scintillating silver glow they emit, because they do just glisten and glow shades of silver. They are quite unlike any diamonds I've seen, and I actually have an inkling that the ring could be French in origin, and in fact the specialist team even said it was so unusual they hadn't seen one like it before. So, there you go, one gorgeous, unique and full of character ring! This will arrive in a ring box. The natural emeralds measure 3mm in diameter. The central diamond measures 3.5mm in diameter, the others measure around 2mm in diameter. The actual diamond weight is very difficult to calculate due to the irregular nature of the rose cuts but I would'guestimate' between 3/4 carat and 1 carat total diamond weight. The face of the ring measures 24.8mm by 10mm.
